    Job description

The engineer is a close combat unit with the ability to repair vehicles, disable mines and destroy important objectives with explosives. Running mostly on point spotting enemy IED's and mines.

    Responsibilities

    • Repairing friendly vehicles
    • Detecting and Disabling Explosives
    • Set explosives if the Squad leaders requests it
    • Take a defensive position when in a mechanized unit

    Extended profile

The engineers best friend is his toolkit. He has the technical affinity and know-how to repair all friendly vehicles and aircraft. Usually an engineer is going to be part of a motorized squad where he will have a high probability to increase the average lifespan of vehicles. The demolition specialist proves his worth with the use of mine detectors and explosives. Without an Engineer/Demo a Squad would be blind to mines and most likely sustain heavy casualties when you happen to run into a minefield.

Be the front-runner of your squad and keep an eye out for explosives. If you find something suspicious approach it with caution. It is important to keep your situational awareness. Crawl your way through the danger and disable it. Keep a safe distance of about 20m of all mines.

The other Part of beeing engineer/demo is to place explosives and blow objectives up. Make sure all friendly forces are out of the blast zone and ask your squad leader to warn nearby forces. When u place a explosive it would be best practice not to set a timer. Detonate the charge manually when your squad leader gives you the "all clear". You are ultimately responsible for your actions. Do not ever, under any circumstance, place mines when extraction is taking place. If you do and you and you happen to damage any friendly equipment or forces you will be sanctioned.

The last part of being engineer is to set up a defensive position. To do so find important targets where you can set mines. Again, make sure to provide nearby members and friendly forces with the location of your mine(s).

    Class specific attributes

The engineer is an integral part of any squads, with his mine detector and toolkit he may detect and disarm most enemy explosives found in the AO.
However, the toolkit may be used in several additional ways, these are as follows:
1: Repair friendly vehicles. (ground, aquatic and airborne).
2: Unflipp friendly vehicles. (large vehicles may require additional squad members next to the vehicle to help the engineer in unflipping the asset).
3: Refuel friendly vehicles. (this will consume a toolkit).
4: Deploy an assault boat. (this will consume a toolkit when deploying, the engineer have the option to despawn the boat and receive the toolkit back).
5: Deploy and place sandbags. (this will consume a toolkit, max 3 sections of sandbags are deployable. Sandbags need to be dismantled if the engineer wishes to deploy new sandbags if he's already placed 3 sandbags).
    6: Hack/disable the GPS jammer.
